I'm writing this retroactively so already do not remember very many details. We flew in with my work (TAT) to the border of the park. There was a wee black bear near the landing pad and it ran a little downhill when we landed. About 30 minutes after landing it came back to the area and was being kind of weird, scratching itself on scrubs and looking at us. Later, Daniel (heli pilot) said she saw the bear coming back up when she took off, and chased it down to Spink Lake.
We hiked upwards from here and along some ridges. The next day we hiked further back towards the Buckskin glacier. It was super nice and we had great weather and views. The third day we side hilled back to the heli landing spot, which was not as nice as the ridge. A lot of up and down drainages and bugs. The terrain back here is nice, you could do a lot of ridge trips or connections.
